The 11th European TeamGym Championships were held in Maribor, Slovenia from 11th-15th October 2016.

Saltire were extremely proud to be represented by 7 of our gymnasts who were selected for the GB squads who travelled to the Championships - Adam Souter, Dylan Campbell, Fraser McLeod, Katie Vince, Kendal Smith, Lara Craig and Sandy Wallace.

This European Championship proved to be the most successful TeamGym campaign in GB history, with the Junior Men's team bringing home GB's first medals from a European Championship. Adam and Fraser from Saltire were both part of this team, and as a club we are hugely proud of this achievement - well done boys!

Head Coach Margaret Kerr said "the club are so proud of the achievements of these gymnasts, and the work the club's coaches have put in to helping them achieve this. This is the first time a GB squad has been formed for TeamGym, and for the club to have 7 gymnasts representing at this level is fantastic"
